No matter what mountain you stand on, I think its safe to say that we all have that urge to yell as loud as we can to hear our echo. Of course, when we hear our echo we feel larger than life. But what if stood atop a 7,000 foot mountaintop, in Switzerland, and really just stood there and hooted and hollered as loud as can be. Well, I bet you’ll feel as though you’re really on top of the world here.
And so, if you’re eager to stand on Switzerland’s famous mountains, venture off to Mount Pilatus to really get the full on mountain experience. Legend has it that Pontius Pilate is buried here, and with its rugged appeal, and adventure around any corner no matter what the legend says, this mountain should be on your bucket list.
The mountain is overlooking the quaint town of Lucerne in Central Switzerland, and the mystical mountain can be reached by hopping on the world’s steepest cogwheel railway or an aerial cableway or gondola. If you’re here to get the full mountain experience, I recommend grabbing a spot on the cogwheel. The railway winds up, up and away through lush meadows carpeted with Alpine flowers, past unique rock faces and sparkling mountain streams. The minutes you’re on the cogwheel are certainly something that you’ll remember forever and ever.
And, when you’re up there, standing up top this mountain, you’ll feel as though your on top of the world, so go ahead, scream as loud as your lungs will allow, we cant wait to hear those joyous screams.
