The mountains are calling and you must go. Whistler, located in the mountains of British Columbia, is probably one of the most picture perfect places you will ever explore. When we ventured off to Whistler, we literally felt like we were in a postcard type world. Everyone had a smile on their faces, the mountains were so breathtaking and the resorts, restaurants and shops had that quaint feel to them.
Whether you love to ski or would rather spend a warm weekend up there, Whistler provides visitors with a plethora of activities and adventures to be lost on throughout the year. Travel up the gondola to the top of the highest peak (just be sure not to look down!), go on a hike through the quiet and awe-inspiring forests, or literally just stroll through town and indulge in a lovely brunch while looking out at the mountains.
Whistler is truly a ski haven, during the cold Canadian winter months Whistler is bustling with ski and snowboard enthusiasts. With over 200 marked runs, 8,171 acres of terrain, 3 glaciers and 16 alpine bowls it’s no wonder winter lovers book a ticket here the first second they see snow. In the summer, the mountains still call tourists from all over, with the Peak 2 Peak gondola ride, a massive mountain bike park and hiking trails that literally go on as far as the eye can see.
Whistler is the place to go if you’re looking to escape your world, and are eager to step into a world where ‘no worries’ is heard often, and a winter jacket is mandatory.
