The park is a uniquely naturally crafted spot. With mesmerizing scenery, a rich cultural heritage and a range of wildlife habitats, you’ll discover peace, relaxation and the simple way of life. Established way back in 1954, the park covers land of 1,762 square kilometers and straddles the central Pennines in the counties of North Yorkshire and Cumbria.
Stepping into the park, you’ll stand within the largest area of international and nationally important habitats. From flower-rich hay meadows, to pastures in the dale bottoms, to wading birds and unique limestone pavements, the habitats and species you’ll grow accustomed to while getting lost in these lands will have you taken back. There really isn’t a spot somewhere else in the world quite like it.
One of the lovely things about The Yorkshire Dales Park is the tranquil setting you’ll fall accustomed to. It’s deemed as one of Britain’s best ‘breathing spaces’ and rightfully so, you’ll feel as though you’re the only one standing amongst the vast lands. Run through the neatly crafted paths, get lost in the valleys, or explore the brilliance of mindboggling waterfalls. The grassy hills, and deep meadows await you.
